It has been a pleasure to work with a specialist charity who train young people through the construction of buildings using a new method of compressed interlocking earth bricks, instead of the environmentally-damaging fired brick. This construction method supports our drive for improved social return on investment and improved environmental impact with a carbon saving building which will not require any trees to be cut down in the brick making method and requires a lot less cement than traditional buildings, which will be off set by our tree planting at the gardens. With this new facility in place, we plan to run 20 workshops and over 40 training interventions each year, which will enable us to train 900 people each year.
